Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Klaro PH is an online reviewer for the Philippine Optometry Licensure Examination, at klaroph.app. This notice explains what personal data Klaro keeps, why, for how long, who processes it for us, and your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

2. What we keep

Your account: the account identifier, email address, name and profile photo link of the Google account you sign in with.
Your plan: your plan, trial and access dates, and the codes you redeemed.
Your payments: the payment reference, date and amount of each purchase. We never receive your e-wallet or bank login details.
Your practice: your Smart Study answers, your mock and practice tests, your study history, and the reports you send about a question.
On your device: your browser keeps your sign-in, your Smart Study progress bar and any test answers not yet sent. Klaro uses no advertising or analytics cookies.

3. Why we keep it

To sign you in and give you the access you paid for or received through a trial.
To apply the daily practice limits of your plan and to score your answers.
To show you your progress and your test history.
To find and fix questions that students report or that many students answer the same wrong way.
To keep sales records as the law requires, and to fix payment problems.
To protect Klaro from abuse: your IP address is used for rate limits and appears in short-lived server logs.

4. How long we keep it

Smart Study answers: 90 days.
The answers inside your mock and practice tests: 180 days.
Answer totals per question, without anyone's identity: 400 days. They cannot be linked back to you.
Daily-limit counters: 8 days.
Your account, plan and trial data: until you ask us to delete your account.
Payment records: as long as the law requires for sales records, also after an account is deleted.
Your study history (the scores of your finished sittings and tests): kept so you can see your progress over time.
To stop a second free trial on the same Google account, we keep a one-way code derived from your Google account, only for that purpose.

5. Who processes your data for us

Google: Firebase sign-in, the Firestore database and Cloud Functions (your account, plan, trial and payment records).
Cloudflare: hosting of the app, and the D1 and KV storage that holds your practice data; Cloudflare Workers AI (see below).
PayMongo: payments by QR Ph. PayMongo processes the payment; we never receive your e-wallet or bank login details.
Google Gemini and Cloudflare Workers AI: they receive question content only, to write and check practice questions — never a student's name, email, account identifier or answers.
Code libraries: the page loads program files from Google, cdnjs and jsDelivr. Like any website, they see your IP address when your browser downloads them.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed, to access it, to have it corrected, to object to its processing, to have it erased or blocked, to receive it in a portable form, to be compensated for damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top of this page.
